AQUOGA is a 50 minute aquatic fitness class practiced in shallow and deep water. In Shallow water we work on Aquoga: Aquatic-yoga, stretching, toning, balance & meditation. In deep water we use props to enhance your cardio experience: flotation belts and/or pool noodles, & water barbells
With over twenty five years of success, Amy Summers has devoted her life to creating dynamic & empowering programming. Amy created Aquoga by combining yoga with aqua aerobics and meditation. She culled her skills from studying yoga and meditation during her four year residency at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health along with her expertise as a certified IFA (International Fitness Association) Aqua Aerobics Instructor to create Aquoga a unique and adaptable aquatic fitness class.
We understand that adapting new fitness habits is difficult, especially for those who have sustained injuries, struggle with their weight or have health challenges. Our goal is to change your view on fitness, so that it becomes a part of who you are & enhances your life!
Aquoga has come to mean so much to so many from dancers to athletes to pregnant mothers and everyone in between. We have found that Aquoga classes are the ultimate equalizer.
The buoyancy achieved in water allows students to stretch, balance and tone in ways they couldn't achieve on land. Aquoga incorporates elements of meditation, and affirmations into our classes.
When you leave an Aquoga class you have tuned up your physical, emotional and spiritual fitness and will feel more balanced in all aspects of your life!
